There is no topic more important than the safety and security of our students and the staff who work with them in our schools. Whether it is prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response or recovery, our district strives to manage every phase of emergency readiness competently and effectively.
We invite you to review all the important safety information found on the "Safety & Security Measures" page, accessible using the link to the left. However, here are a few important steps you can take to ensure the safety of your student and out learning community, at large:
- Always have Photo ID when visiting our schools
- Speak with your child about safety drills and expectations
- Ensure your contact information, child's approved pickup person and any extenuating circumstances are up-to-date and noted in PowerSchool
- Ensure you are signed-up for emergency alerts through MyPowerHub (PowerSchool). We suggest signing up for text messages, as well as emails and phone calls.
- Never hesitate to contact building or district administration if you believe there is a safety concern. Anonymous concerns may be made using the Safe2Say app, website or hotline.
Together, we can ensure the safety of our learners and staff! Go Cedars!
